UPDATE Woman airlifted to hospital after crash
Grey Road 4 remains closed between Road 55 and Road 63 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands due to a serious motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles that is currently under investigation by Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the assistance of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit (TTCI).
At approximately 8:46 a.m. this morning, February 21, 2018, Grey County OPP, together with members of the Grey County Paramedic Services (EMS), Grey Highlands Fire Department and the Dundalk Fire Department responded to the scene.
Initial investigation indicates that a passenger vehicle and a pick-up truck that were travelling in opposite directions on Grey Road 4 near Road 57B collided head-on.
The driver of the passenger vehicle, a 56-year old female from Grey Highlands, was transported via ambulance to hospital and subsequently air lifted to a hospital in Toronto where she is in critical condition.
The driver of the pick-up truck, a 17-year old male from Grey Highlands, was not injured.
Grey Road 4 is currently closed between Side Roads 55 and 63 in Grey Highlands (west of Singhampton) due to a serious collision involving two vehicles.
At approximately 8:45 am Wednesday morning, Grey County OPP, Grey County EMS, Grey Highlands and Dundalk Fire Departments responded to the scene.
The investigation is in the early stages.
An updated media release will be issued when accurate and confirmed information becomes available.
Police are asking motorists to respect the road closure.
