Pfizer Canada is warning again of an Epi Pen shortage.

They’re expected to advise Health Canada today of the news that some of its products are in short supply.

It doesn’t necessarily mean there’s none available in pharmacies… but the company says there is limited inventory that’s being managed nationally.

There are currently no substitute products for anaphylaxis available in Canada.

Pfizer says the shortage is being caused by delays at the manufacturing facility.

In the meantime Health Canada is advising that those who need an Epi Pen use their expired ones if needed and call 9-1-1.

Consumers are encouraged to visit www.drugshortagescanada.ca or contact Pfizer at 1-877-374-7361 for up-to-date information about the shortage and estimated re-supply dates.
