UPDATE - Arrest made in Port Elgin armed robbery
Thanks to numerous tips from the public, Saugeen Shores Police have made a quick arrest in the armed robbery of a convenience store in Port Elgin.
A store clerk was left shaken, but unharmed, after a lone man pointed a gun at the clerk in the Circle K convenience store and demanded money at around 3 am Sunday morning.
A detailed description and photo was released soon after the incident and police were able to arrest a young man shortly after.
Police have a 17 year old in custody charged with robbery, pointing a fire arm and disguise with intent to commit a crime.
He remains in custody and will appear in Walkerton court November 14.
