Man wanted for a decade arrested
A man who has been wanted by Grey County OPP for more than a decade has finally been arrested.
On Tuesday night at around 8 p.m., Grey County OPP was contacted by the Canadian Border Services Agency located at the Toronto Pearson International Airport stating they had a man in custody wanted by Grey County OPP on an outstanding arrest warrant from September 13, 2006.
On September 13, 2006, a Warrant for Arrest was issued for a 66 year old man from Hamilton, who was charged with offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) specifically, the production of cannabis marihuana, production of cannabis resin, and possession of cannabis marihuana over 3 kilograms for the purpose of trafficking at a property on Southgate Road 14 in the Township of Southgate.
Grey County OPP took him into their custody late last night.
He was returned to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment where he was held pending a bail hearing scheduled for Wednesday morning in Owen Sound.
