Ken Becking no longer with Owen Sound
Director of Public Works and Engineering Ken Becking is no longer with the city of Owen Sound.
A notice released by the city said Becking’s last day was on January 2nd.
City Manager Wayne Ritchie tells Dock News his departure was a personnel matter and they will not be providing any further details.
When asked who may be replacing Becking, Ritchie says they are fortunate they have good management in public works and engineering.
He adds at some point in the future, he will take a recommendation to council on staffing in the division.

The City of Owen Sound today announced that Ken Becking, Director of Public Works and Engineering is no longer with the municipality, effective January 2, 2018.
Mr. Becking was hired as the City’s Director of Public Works and Engineering in August 2014.
“We thank Mr. Becking for his contributions to our City and wish him well in his next endeavor,” said City Manager, Wayne Ritchie.
