So, Season 7 of Game of Thrones is over.  It was a helluva season ender setting us up for the great battle in Season 8 which we’re told might not be aired until the spring of 2019.

What are we going to do without our fix of Daenerys and her cute little dragons or Jon Snow and his confusing family lineage.

In fact, how will be spend our Sunday nights now that we don’t have to rack our brains trying to figure out who’s uncle is really his dad or who’s dad is really his uncle.

And then there’s the brother/sister love.   We’ll just leave that one alone.

Point is…we must fill the gap with someone as equally awesome.

Here are five suggestions for GOT lovers for your next binge watch.

1. OUTLANDER

Season 3 Premeires Sunday, September 10 at 9 E/P!

The third season of Outlander picks up right after Claire travels through the stones to return to her life in 1948. Now pregnant, she struggles with the fallout of her sudden reappearance and its effect on her marriage to her first husband, Frank. Meanwhile, in the 18th century, Jamie suffers from the aftermath of his doomed last stand at the historic battle of Culloden, as well as the loss of Claire. As the years pass, Jamie and Claire attempt to make a life apart from one another, each haunted by the memory of their lost love. The budding possibility that Claire can return to Jamie in the past breathes new hope into Claire’s heart … as well as new doubt. Separated by continents and centuries, Claire and Jamie must find their way back to each other. As always, adversity, mystery and adventure await them on the path to reunion. And the question remains: when they find each other, will they be the same people who parted at the standing stones, all those years ago?

2. THE TUDORS

Jonathan Rhys Meyers stars in this original, history-based drama series as the young, vibrant King Henry VIII, a competitive and lustful monarch who navigates the intrigues of the English court and the human heart with equal vigor and justifiable suspicion. Natalie Dormer (“Anne Boleyn”), Jeremy Northam (“Thomas More”), Maria Doyle Kennedy (“Queen Katherine”), James Frain (“Thomas Cromwell”) and Peter O’Toole (“Pope Paul III”) round out the all-star cast of this lavish epic.

3. VIKINGS

Season 5 returns November 29, 2017 with a 2 hour season premiere starting at 9 E/P.

Season five begins with Ivar the Boneless asserting his leadership over the Great Heathen Army, while Lagertha reigns as Queen of Kattegat. Ivar’s murder of his brother Sigurd sets the stage for vicious battles to come as Ragnar’s sons plot their next moves after avenging their father’s death. Bjorn follows his destiny into the Mediterranean Sea and Floki who is suffering from the loss of his wife Helga, takes to the seas submitting himself to the will of the Gods. This season is full of startling alliances and unbelievable betrayals as the Vikings fight to rule the world.  P.S. the sex is hot.

4. PREACHER

Based on the popular cult comic book franchise of the same name, Preacher is an absurdly twisted and action-packed thrill ride. When Jesse Custer, a small-town preacher with a criminal past, realizes God is absent from Heaven, Jesse sets out to find Him. Along for the ride are Tulip, Jesse’s volatile true love, and Cassidy, a 119-year-old Irish vampire, who is Jesse’s best mate. The gang ends up in New Orleans, where they must dodge local gangsters, dangerous secret agents in white suits, and the Saint of Killers, an unstoppable murderous cowboy from Hell.

5. ORPHAN BLACK

Sarah is a street-wise woman with a troubled past as an English orphan who bounced around foster homes before being taken in by Mrs. S, who uprooted her and her foster brother, Felix, to North America. She has made bad decisions in her life but always strives to do right by daughter Kira. When Sarah witnesses the suicide of a woman, Beth (who looks like her) she decides to steal Beth’s identity — boyfriend and money included — in an attempt to begin a new life for herself and Kira, with whom Sarah hopes to reunite. But assuming Beth’s life — Sarah eventually learns that Beth was her clone — doesn’t go as smoothly as she anticipates because Beth was a cop caught in the middle of a deadly conspiracy, making Sarah the new target. Sarah must fight to stay alive while trying to escape from the complex web. As more threads appear, Sarah is pulled deeper, and Felix becomes her one true confidant.

And now for something completely different – a bonus if you will…

6. PEAKY BLINDERS

“Peaky Blinders” is a series that arrived on Netflix in 2014…an anti-hero gangster drama set in the UK during the aftermath of World War 1. Its a show about a morally compromised, heterosexual white man who grapples with the results of his bold and even violent behavior as he struggles to realize his ambitions. The series centres around the gang’s leader and a commissioned detective tasked with suppressing the gang. The BBC have ordered a fourth and fifth series to be released late this year.
