UPDATE Fatal crash being investigated north of Hepworth
Police have released the name of the man killed in a fatal collision Thursday night north of Hepworth.
63-year-old Paul Ferretti from Georgian Bluffs, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers in his vehicle were treated at hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the other car, a 26 year old from South Bruce Peninsula, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Another passenger was also taken to hospital but with non-life threatening injuries.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
Bruce Peninsula OPP are investigating a fatal collision that happened north of Hepworth.
Police received a report of a serious two vehicle crash along Highway 6 in the town of South Bruce Peninsula around 7:20 Thursday evening.
Officers arrived with members of the Town of South Bruce Peninsula Fire Department and Bruce County EMS to find an Orange Hyundai and a Red GMC Sierra pick-up truck involved in the crash.
One of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene. The name is not being released until family members have been notified.
The other driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Members of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit closed Highway 6 between Springcreek Road and Sheppard Lake Road until about 2am Friday.
The investigation is in its early stages.
