Construction company asks for patience from drivers
As tourism season ramps up in a couple of weeks and with the kids are out of school, roads in the area are expected to become a lot busier, especially this year as the region celebrates Canada’s 150th.
Adding to some of the traffic troubles this summer, will be a number of construction projects including Highway 6 north of Springmount.
That’s one construction zone that’s certainly going to test the patients of motorists this season but Harold Sutherland Construction has issued a plea.
The company says there are too many drivers who ignore the flag personnel, speed through construction zones, ignore the signals and become abusive to workers.
They’re asking everyone to take a deep breath, put the cell phone down and respect the construction workers and fellow motorists and everyone will get to their destinations safely.
