Attack secure home ice advantage
Heading into the final day of the OHL`s regular season, there were playoff implications for 12 of the 16 post-season participants.
The London Knights may have had the toughest task.
A win on Sunday would have given them home-ice advantage in round one against the Owen Sound Attack, but the Knights found themselves in Sault Ste. Marie against the Greyhounds, who own the league’s best record and were smarting from a Friday home-ice loss to the Flint Firebirds.
The Knights lost 6-3 leaving them with 82 points in the Western Conference – two points back of the Attack who go into the playoffs on a six game win streak after Saturday night’s 9-4 drubbing of the Sarnia Sting.
But best of all, it means home ice advantage for the Bayshore Boys.
