A scary scene to wake up to for one Southampton woman.

Saugeen Shores police say early Friday morning, a woman woke up to find her back shed engulfed in flames.

The residence is located on Winchfield Road in Southampton.

When the victim exited her residence she found that the house and her vehicle had also been damaged.

Saugeen Shores Fire and Police attended at the scene. Information from the Fire personnel indicated that the shed fire had been set intentionally. The shed and contents were completely destroyed.

All four sides of the house were extensively spray painted with vulgar wording.

The vehicle was also spray painted and scratched. Foam insulation has been sprayed into the gas tank.

A suspect was identified and later in the day, a 24 year old man from Sarnia was arrested by police. He has been charged with Criminal Harassment, Arson, Mischief over $5000, Trespass at Night, and 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Probation.
